Year 1- Heal!
What’s Inside?
Argan/ Jojoba / Baobab / Tea Tree/ Rosemary / Lavender
Year 1 was created using the powerhouses of ingredients. It is common for personal care products and hair products to include these ingredients as they are rich in nutrients and have a well-established reputation in the market with extensive testing.
*I like using these oils on my clients with dry flakey scalps.
Did you know that Argan and Jojoba oils are known for their highly moisturizing properties? At the same time, lavender and tea tree effectively reduce inflammation and contain anti-fungal properties.
Check out this article on tea tree oil.
Baobab is also a powerhouse containing TONS of vitamins.
The tree is from Southern Africa and is said to bear some of the most nutrient-dense fruits in the world.
Rosemary is one of my favorite ingredients. This widely studied ingredient has been shown to have excellent hair growth properties, offering the same growth results as minoxidil (ROGAINE).
Although it may take some time to see the outcome, the crucial term to focus on is “results.”
Year 2 – Moisturize
Coconut/ moringa/ rosehip/lemongrass/grapefruit/ peppermint
Year 2 was designed to maintain a healthy scalp.
I’m confident that most of us know the incredible advantages of using coconut oil. But when combined with the exceptional Moringa and Rosehip oils, it becomes the ultimate solution for moisture and protection.
Moringa, commonly known as the Miracle Tree, has many uses. Using this oil alone can reap great benefits for your hair and skin. It is rich in vitamins C and B and healthy fats that your scalp and skin will love.
It’s also worth noting that coconut oil possesses some natural SPF properties.
So why use oil?
Oil may not be suitable for everyone, and it is not a miraculous cure-all. It should only be incorporated into a well-rounded haircare regimen.
Allow me to briefly outline what a perfect hair care routine entails and how oil can be incorporated into it.
First! You “Must” use the correct shampoo and conditioner for your specific hair type & condition.

Once you understand your hair, you should be able to decide if oil fits into your routine.
In my routine, I shampoo & condition my hair around 1-2 times per week, depending on my training. Then I follow with either Year 1 or Year 2 while my hair is still damp. (Your hair absorbs more while the hair shafts are open). I’ve found that oil helps keep my hair moisturized, tamed & smelling good for a few days until my next wash. Also, I mix Year 2 with my lotion when I get out of the shower. Gives me a nice smell all over too.
Suggested Use
Once you decide if oil suits you, I recommend following your shampoo and conditioner with Year 1 or Year 2.
The condition of your scalp/ hair determines which oil you should use and how to use it.
Year 1
- Dry scalp
- Flakey scalp
- Dandruff
- Light psoriasis
- Thinning hair
Year 2
I like using Year 2 as more of a multi-use oil. It has the same moisturizing benefits as Year 1, yet a little lighter and more refreshing.
Year 2 goes well as a beard oil.
From what clients have told me, the ladies really like the uplifting smell. (Something different than the strong cologne smells we guys like to wear normally).
Year 2 is also a great option as a light styling product when not using styling products.
For my guys and girls with longer hair, don’t forget about the benefits of using oil for the split ends.
Whether you’re using it for a specific condition or just looking for lighter styling options, I hope you enjoy these products as much as I enjoyed creating them.
Please don’t hesitate to share with me how you utilize your oil. Your insights and experiences would be greatly appreciated.
